The Molo Mhlaba Institute (MMI) exists to equip young people from underserved communities with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to become Montessori-inspired leaders of change. By democratizing Montessori education, we open doors for those who have long been underrepresented in alternative education spaces, providing access to rigorous training, mentorship, and a network of support.

Our mission is to empower each fellow to become an agent of transformation someone who can multiply impact within classrooms, communities, and the broader education sector. Training at MMI goes beyond instruction; it is formation: forming young people who are confident, capable, and ready to lead, innovate, and serve their communities with integrity and excellence.

Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional development, our fellows gain the knowledge, confidence, and values to transform classrooms, families, and communities. At MMI, we focus on the holistic growth of each fellow, helping them multiply impact and create lasting change where it is needed most.
